Opportunities for young people in the EU
Spanish partner’s Lessons from the crisis

AIFED - Asociacion de Innovacion, Formacion y Empleo para el Desarrollo Sostenible (Association of Innovation, Training and Employment for Sustainable Development) carried out activities under project CareOn in collaboration with different institutions, in order to promote the necessary union among EU citizens to face the crises
AIFED has more than twelve years of experience in carrying out actions in the framework of the European Union and the Council of Europe area, and its professionals and members have a long history of work in this area.
“Citizens are not sufficiently aware of what the EU has to offer, how it works and the strength of feeling part of a strong Union.
Young people, sometimes are not interested in looking for opportunities, in thinking in the long term, and do not receive adequate information. With the online talk held on 24 March 2022, we wanted to open a window for them to learn more about the EU and the possibilities it offers them, what programmes are designed for them, and how the EU can help us.

The talk was set in relation to the following general objective of project"Manage the COVID crisis with Care, reasOn, Values, unIty, soliDarity" – to familiarise citizens, including Eurosceptics, with the actions and role of the European institutions in overcoming the crisis more quickly and successfully. This requires that European citizens are aware of the opportunities of the Union.
In the framework of this activity AIFED focused on the opportunities for young people and on the specific topics they were introduced to:
- EU Institutions that provide support directly to citizens;
- Erasmus + YOU and ESC, a programme for young people;
- European Year of Youth;
- EU entrepreneurship grants for young people.”
